I started my work life in New York City in the 1960's.
My first 40 work years were spent in traditional careers, family, children, homeownership, 'the whole catastrophe'.
I was in law enforcement for 8 years and I worked for IBM for 30 years until early retirement.
I was always interested in and participated with health and fitness and I knew that my next vocation would be involved with health. I tried many different courses and activities. My first certification was in fitness and personal training. When I discovered Kripalu yoga, I knew I was where I belonged.
My first teacher, Theresa, was a Kripalu teacher and she provided a good example of the exploration of yoga. After a couple of years she encouraged me to go to teacher training at Kripalu. That was the summer of 2000 and I've been studying at Kripalu ever since. I began teaching soon after I completed my 200 hour certification and continued studying and completed my 500 hour professional certification. In the process, I have explored several other styles of yoga, but Kripalu is still my home.
In the past decade, I have taught hundreds of students both privately and in group classes. Early on, I taught in local studios, at Emory University, in fitness centers. Currently I teach in Roswell, Ga. I teach classes in the Roswell parks, the adult center, and Roswell United Methodist Church.
